Key points:

  • Masks are still recommended, but not required in private practice.
  • Positive cases no longer need to isolate for seven days. However, you are encouraged to remain at home till you test negative.
  • Covid safe interventions.

Masks and PPE

Masks are NO LONGER required in allied health clinics. Mask mandates have been lifted. This means you and your Osteopath do not have to wear a mask. However, some of our osteopaths still are and if you would like to you are welcome to.

The Department recommends wearing a mask:

  • for 7 days if you have COVID-19 or are a close contact and you need to leave home, or you cannot maintain physical distance or need to visit healthcare (this includes within Frankston Osteopathy).
  • if you are caring for someone at home who is sick with COVID-19
  • if you have any COVID-19 symptoms
  • if you are with people who may be vulnerable to COVID-19
  • if you are visiting or working in a sensitive setting such as hospitals and aged care facilities
  • if you know you are at a higher risk of falling very sick with COVID-19.

What if I have tested positive for COVID19?

Victorians will no longer be required to isolate after testing positive to COVID-19, with isolation for positive cases now strongly recommended.

Frankston Osteopathy, however, strongly encourages you to isolate till you test negative and are no longer contagious with covid19 for the health and safety of our staff and patients.

Requirements for close contacts have also changed, like continually testing negative on a rapid antigen test will be a strong recommendation – joining the strong recommendation to wear a mask indoors, which will remain in place.

Covid safe interventions

Despite the recent changes. Frankston Osteopathy will continue to minimise the risk of Covid19 to our patients and staff by continuing:

  • to implement social distancing.
  • offering masks to staff and patients who require them.
  • regular cleaning of treatment rooms and surfaces.
  • constant airflow and circulation.
